Hey hi hello!
I'm a compulsive writer, creative strategist, and experience junkie currently eating my way through New York City and seeking the meaning of life (among other things).
some of my favorite things
Reading, traveling, cats, jasmine tea, clever microcopy, minimalist design, vintage slang, logic puzzles, good ramen, short poetry, miniature desserts, bar trivia, dark lipsticks, and comfy cardigans.
some of my core beliefs
The best things are beautiful, intentional, and meaningful
The Oxford comma is not optional
Feminism is a great product with terrible branding
The best way to be an interesting person is to read more and indulge your curiosity
Happiness is waking up in a different country
Design is in the details
Avocados should count as vegetables
A disproportionate amount of money and effort are invested in tech and its ethics, respectively, and we should all be worried
Good skincare is universally necessary
You have to learn the rules to better break them
some final thoughts
I've always thought the term "lifestyle blog" was unsatisfying. I wanted a blog with a purpose, equally focused on the aestheticism and essence of life and its unglamorous and unfiltered parts. Life is messy and imperfect, and that's part of its charm. And because interests in a good-quality highlighter and the eradication of child sex trafficking shouldn't be mutually exclusive.
I couldn't find any other lifestyle blogs like this, so I wrote one! This blog was created as a way to share my honest thoughts, my personal projects, and other things I'm passionate about: the places I travel, the food I make, the things I read, and the little things that keep me awake at night.
